Cherished Family Recipes, Reimagined
Bashall Spirits bring to life flavours from the past through long-cherished family recipe books from our home in the idyllic village of Bashall Eaves, in Lancashire’s Forest of Bowland.
Orange & Quince Gin
Our Orange & Quince Gin has been inspired by a collection of beautifully handwritten marmalade or “marmalet” recipes from the 1750s.
These zesty flavours are perfectly captured in a gin that is bursting with aromas of citrus, and balances orange, jammy quince fruit and classic juniper.
Damson & Elderberry Gin
Our Damson & Elderberry Gin harks back to a time when flavoured wines and beers were commonly created from hedgerow ingredients and orchard fruit.
Taking inspiration from recipes for those home-made tipples, this gin perfectly balances rich damson fruit, sweet-tart elderberry and classic juniper.
Parkin Cake Gin
Capturing the comforting aromas and flavours of treacle and ginger spice, our Parkin Cake Gin is an enticing and distinctively warming spirit.
Our Parkin recipe comes dates back to the Victorian era, a time when every northern family would have had their own take on this traditional treat.
London Dry Gin
Our London Dry Gin is inspired by the moorland around our family home in the village of Bashall Eaves.
The unique recipe of 11 botanicals includes cranberry, elderflower and caraway, homage to the native woodland and hedgerow plants found in and around the beautiful Moor Piece Nature Reserve.
This is a smooth juniper-forward gin with a soft sweetness and elegant character, perfect in a variety of drinks from a refreshing G&T to a crisp Martini.
We’re thrilled to report that our Damson and Elderberry Gin is one of just six international winners in the Flavoured category of the 2021 Gin Guide awards.
Our entire flavour range also got silver medals in the 2021 London Spirits Competition.
